TLS signed “Dick,” one page, 7 x 9, Office of the Vice President letterhead, August 10, 1956. Letter to Mendel Silberberg. In part: “Your letter, coming as it did in the midst of the current political situation, was most encouraging and I want you to know that I am deeply grateful. I am looking forward to seeing you in San Francisco.” At the bottom, Nixon adds a brief handwritten postscript which reads, “I fear we won’t have time for a quiet steak as we did in 1952!” In fine condition, with punch holes and pencil notation to upper portion. Nixon was referring to the Republican Party convention that convened August 20, 1956 and that he would run again as Vice President. Any Nixon holographic material as vice president is considered scarce. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
