In part: “I know that Mr. Gorham executed the order for our friends in Boston; but I wished to have made a very small purchase, for myself. I made a little memorandum, at the suggestion of poor Miflin, of what I wished…but I have mislaid it.” In very good condition, with intersecting folds, some scattered foxing and soiling, and rusty paperclip marks to left border.
