Carberry as “First Lieutenant of Infantry in the service of the United States.” Signed at the conclusion by Wilson and countersigned by Secretary of War Newton D. Baker. Blue War Office seal affixed to lower left remains intact with tiny tears to a few of the points. In very good condition, with overall foxing and soiling, and Baker’s signature faded but visible.
