Pay order sent to Jedediah Huntington requesting him to pay Thomas Dewey “two pounds nine shillings & six pence…out of civil list taxes being allowed him for support of James Carr a transient person.” In very good condition, with intersecting folds, some light toning and a circular cancellation cut to body, affecting middle name of signature.
