Four original Civil War–era Union coins or tokens: an 1863 Indian Head one-cent coin; original 1863 patriotic token featuring an image of Washington on horseback below the words “First in War, First in Peace,” with the reverse reading, “Union For Ever”; original 1863 token featuring an image of the American flag surrounded by 13 stars and the words, “The Flag of Our Union,” with the reverse reading, “If anybody attempts to tear it down, Shoot him on the spot, Dix”; and an 1863 token featuring an image of Lady Liberty on the front with the words “Union For Ever” on the reverse. Moderate overall wear to the Indian Head cent and Lady Liberty token, otherwise overall fine condition. RR Auction COA.
