Queen Alexandra

Queen Consort to Edward VII of England (1844–1925) and mother of George V. ALS signed “Alexandra,” three pages on two adjoining sheets, 4.5 x 7, Marlborough House letterhead, August 19, 1888. In part: “So many thanks for so kindly getting me the music & the book…Here is my promised photo. Will you…send me some news.” Double-cloth-matted and framed with a color copy of the first page of the letter and a portrait of the Queen to an overall size of 18.5 x 23.5. Some scattered light toning and mild show-through from writing on reverse, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
