Colorful original watercolor painting of a bird on an off-white 5.5 x 3.25 postcard addressed to photographer Carl Van Vechten, signed “Karlo,” July 21, 1953, with a note written in the borders, in full: “Of course you would agree about Joyce’s published photos. Lords! Thank you for everything—Frank is better.” Priebe also addressed the reverse, initialing the return address area, “KP.” In fine condition. An interesting association between artists.
