Quinn a “Judge of the Municipal Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.” Signed at the conclusion by John F. Kennedy and countersigned by Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy. Document is affixed to an identical size board and is in fine condition, with a few spots of scattered light foxing and faint staining along edges. The gold foil seal is crisp and intact. Only three Kennedy double-signed documents have come to auction over the last decade, with all three being presidential pardons. The same day that Kennedy signed this appointment, he gave the commencement speech at Yale University, where he was awarded an honorary degree. In his speech, he acknowledged global insecurity, which would soon come to the forefront as the Cuban Missle Crisis took shape later that year. RR Auction COA.
