Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 15.5 x 19.75, December 1, 1913. President Wilson appoints Benjamin Alvord as “Adjutant General, with the rank of Colonel, in the service of the United States.” Signed at the conclusion by Wilson and countersigned by Lindley M. Garrison as secretary of war. The embossed blue war office seal to the lower left remains partially affixed but fully intact. In fine condition, with Wilson’s signature a shade or two light. An appealing, clean presidential document. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
