In part: “I send, to your case, a package for my son William. You will oblige me by keeping it till he calls. He writes me that you, very kindly, offered to introduce him to Col. Thayer and other gentlemen, who might be likely to aid him in entering on business.” The letter retains its integral address leaf in Hale’s hand.
