Collection of six one-page untranslated ALSs, each from a different composer. Letters are from: Adolphe Adam, writing he is sick and cannot attend rehearsals; Daniel F. E. Auber, signed “Auber,” about scheduling auditions; Gustave Charpentier, signed “G. Charpentier,” January 21, 1929, writing to famous mime George Wague; Luigi Cherubini, signed “L. Cherubini,” October 5, 1824, writing as Director of the Paris Conservatory giving permission for Mr. Emile Doux to be admitted to the classes of Mr. Baptiste and Mr. St. Aubin on the days of the Opera-Comique. Letter is affixed to a slightly larger sheet; Fromental Halevy, signed “F. Halevy,” March 22, 1851, sending a box seat ticket to a friend for his opera La Dame de Pique; and Ambrose Thomas, making social arrangements. In fine condition. RR Auction COA.
