Manuscript LS, signed “Henry de Lorraine,” one page, 8.75 x 14, December 12, 1576. Untranslated letter with five lines of postscript to Monsieur de Trignan, written by the Duke in Blois, promising to urge the king to reply to resolve matters and protest the warmth of his friendship. In very good condition, with intersecting folds (one horizontal fold passing through top of signature), some separations repaired with tape to reverse, and scattered toning and soiling.
