If he will not do it, there is Col. Chas S. Venable, who was one of my father’s Aides-de-Camp throughout the Civil War…Besides himself, Col. Chas. Marshall, Col. Walter Taylor, and Col. T. M. R. Talcott there is no one of Genl. Lee’s military family living. When you have found some one, please let me know, and I will give him some facts that have not been published.” In fine condition.
