Toombs,” two pages on two adjoining sheets, 5 x 7.75, Washington, July 13, 1858. Letter to a gentleman. In part: “I am hoping to-morrow certainly by next morning for a letter by which I shall know whether or not I shall have to go to Macon.” Second integral page is professionally inlaid into a slightly larger off-white sheet.
