TLS signed “Ike Eisenhower,” one page, 8 x 10.5, Columbia University letterhead, December 21, 1948. Letter to legendary film producer Darryl F. Zanuck. In part: “Since Darrylin would not be a candidate for a degree, she comes under a University restriction that non-matriculated students must be 20 years of age. However, some exceptions are made to this policy because of the student’s ability or promise…I am sending you by air mail the announcements of the School of General Studies. I suggest that you and your daughter go through it and decide just what courses would interest her most.” In fine condition, with unobtrusive intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature). Eisenhower rarely signed with this version of his signature, and it is one of a handful of such examples we have offered. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
