Bryan,” one page, 8 x 10.25, Department of State letterhead, May 8, 1914. Letter of introduction sent to the Diplomatic and Consular Officers of the United States in Europe. In full: “I take pleasure in introducing to you by means of this letter Mr. Harry W. Walker, on New York, a personal friend, who is about to proceed abroad on a pleasure trip. I shall personally appreciate any courtesies which you may be able to render him, consistent with your official duties.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, some light toning and creasing, and slight mirroring of text.
