Unissued war-dated Confederate states receipt, one page, 7.75 x 11, 1864. A receipt for L. Lyon for commutation of quarters from July 30, 1864, to October 18, 1864, with a endorsement by J. W. Johns written along the left edge. In very good condition, with tape repairs to a separation along a horizontal fold, a bit of light paper loss, scattered toning and spotting, and a pencil notation along top edge. RR Auction COA.
