Letter from Sarony regarding a photograph

Highly popular and great portrait photographer (1821–1896), renowned for his portraits of the stars of American theater. ALS signed “Sarony,” one page, 5.5 x 8.5, personal letterhead, circa 1880s. Letter to a gentleman. In full: “Have just answered Mr. Dunham about corn husking, have concluded to let it go to Milwaukee—but I have a photograph of the same and will do another the size you wish (10 across) if Mr. Smithe can etch it without the painting he is quite welcome.” In very good condition, with intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature), light scattered soiling, and slight show-through from docketing to reverse.
