Union general (1832–1910) who fought at Cedar Mountain, Lookout Mountain, and Gettysburg, where he played a role in the defense of Culp's Hill. Original 4 x 6.5 cabinet photo, signed below the image in black ink, “Chas Candy, Col 66th Ohio Vol Infy,” adding further information about his unit underneath, and dated 1862.
