French marshall of Napoleon who became King of Sweden (as Charles XIV Johan) and King of Norway (as Charles III John) from 1818 until his death. Bold ink signature, “Carl Johan,” on an off-white 5.75 x 1.75 slip clipped from a larger document and affixed to a slightly larger slip.
