Popular Austrian composer (1870–1948) of ‘light’ classical music, best known for his operetta, ‘The Merry Widow.’ Original 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet photo of Lehar seated with his arms folded, by Pietzner of Vienna, signed on the image in blue ink. Ink notation to top of image in another hand is dated Vienna, March 13, 1907. Brushing to end of signature, some scattered spotting and surface impressions to image, and mounting remnants to reverse, otherwise fine condition. RR Auction COA.
