Charles ‘Chinese’ Gordon

British general (1833–1885) who, in 1860, crushed the Taiping Rebellion in China, earning the nickname ‘Chinese.’ Ink signature, “Charles George Gordon,” on a light blue slip. Slip is matted with an original cabinet photo by Dighton’s Art Studio, to an overall size of 6 x 8. In fine condition. RRAuction COA.
