Unused postcard featuring lyrics to “Nearer, My God, to Thee,” and vignettes of the Titanic hitting the iceberg and a small cross, captioned at the top: “Rest in Peace. Sacred to the Memory of those that bravely met their death on board the ‘Titanic’ which encountered with an Ice-berg in the Atlantic on April 21st 1912.” In fine condition. Most postcards with erroneous information about the accident were published immediately after the event, before the facts were clear—an unusual error, as this must have been published at least a week after the Titanic sunk.
