In part (translated): “I have not failed to follow the instructions of Your Electoral Highness in telling the Emperor [Joseph I] and his ministers everything that has been asked of me and I can assure Your highness that His Imperial Majesty will do everything to comply with Your Highness’s requests. I also inform Your Highness that the Emperor will supply everything for the six battalions he expects Your Electoral Highness will furnish to increase his army in Italy, and for which he offers a thousand men at 20 écus each.” Intersecting folds, one through a single letter of the signature, overall toning with a darker circular area to the lower right, and some light scattered soiling, otherwise fine condition.
