Choice ink signatures and inscription, “Christmas 1911 to Little Fred from Orville Wright,” “Wilbur Wright,” and “Katharine Wright,” on an off-white 6 x 8.25 page, possibly removed from a Mother Goose’s Nursery Rhyme book. Scattered light toning and small tears and chips to vertical edges, otherwise fine condition. Wilbur would die from typhoid fever in May of 1912. Any item signed by both Wright Brothers is uncommon and highly desirable; examples that also include Katharine are of the greatest scarcity. This is a rare and simply outstanding example. Provenance: Christies New York, December 7, 1990. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
