In full: “Your letter of February 17th to Mrs. M’Kinley has given both of us great comfort. These kind remembrances from every quarter fill our hearts with gratitude and thanksgiving. Your letter has been especially comforting, and I beg you will know that we appreciate every word you say.” In very good condition, with intersecting folds, one through a single letter of the signature, moderate scattered foxing and soiling, light show-through from an office stamp on the reverse, and the signature a couple shades light.
