Rare vintage matte-finish 7.5 x 9.5 portrait of Frost affixed to a larger mount, signed and inscribed on the mount in fountain pen “To Gerald Brach, from his friend and teacher, Robert Frost.” Also signed in pencil by the photographer, “W. S. Stone ‘50.” Matted and framed to an overall size of 13 x 16.25. In fine condition, with some silvering to the edges and light soiling to the borders of the mount. Frost, depicted in a literary environment, is seated in front of a bookcase with a pen in his pocket, always prepared to jot down a quick verse of his observations on life or nature.
