Two items: one matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of Doolittle, signed and inscribed in black ink, “To Gary Lorenz: With every good wish, J. H. Doolittle;” and a TLS signed “J. H. Doolittle,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, April 2, 1970. In part: “Like most old pilots who flew in the open airplanes of the past I am quite deaf. As a result am tone deficient and do not have an ear for classical music.
