French politician (1841–1931) who served as president of the French republic from 1906 to 1913. Partly-printed DS, in French, signed “A. Fallieres,” one page, 10.75 x 16, August 7, 1908. Untranslated official appointment, countersigned by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, with large embossed ‘Republique Francaise’ stamp in the lower left. In very good condition, with intersecting storage folds and creases, a few scattered tack holes, some light soiling, and a paper backing affixed to reverse of the upper half.
