Wilder receives permission to go through Spirit of St. Louis outtakes occupying his vault

DS, two pages, 8.5 x 11, November 5, 1958. Agreement between Wilder and Warner Bros. concerning leftover footage from the film The Spirit of St. Louis. In part: “A considerable amount of film was shot for the photoplay which was not used…You have advised us that all of the said film is being stored by you in your vaults at your studio…and that, because of the large quantity thereof, it presents a serious storage problem…We hereby authorize you to examine all…and to select therefore those portions thereof which you deem suitable for film library purposes…You may dispose of all film…which is not deemed suitable by you for your film library purposes as junk.” In very good condition, with punch holes and staple to top edge, small tear to second page, toning to first page and a small memo stapled to front.
