Together with her husband, Mikhail Larionov, Gontcharova ushered forth the free-form Rayonism movement, which sought to move beyond the boundaries of all art before it, using “rays” of contrasting color to emulate lines of reflected light. Rare, untranslated ALS in French on the correspondence side of a 5.5 x 3.5 postcard of Cote Vermeille.
