Versatile and popular American performer (1936–1973) who died at the age of 37 from complications following surgery for a faulty heart valve. DS, signed at the conclusion “Bobby Darin” and “Bob Cassotto,” his real name, two pages both sides, 8.5 x 16.5, March 9, 1956. A 1947 Revised Uniform Popular Songwriters Contract between Songmiths, Inc., and Bobby Darin (Bob Cassotto), Don Kirshner, and George M. Shaw, in which “The Writer hereby sells, assigns, transfers and delivers to the Publisher a certain heretofore unpublished original musical composition, written and/or composed by the above-named Writer now entitled ‘After School Rock and Roll.’” In fine condition, with a central horizontal fold.
