The Queen appoints an officer to the “Regiment of Foot”

Partly-printed DS, signed “Victoria R,” one page, 15.75 x 11.25, August 7, 1854. The Queen appoints Major General Henry Thomas C. B. “to be Colonel of our Ninety fourth Regiment of Foot.” Signed at the top by Victoria and countersigned by her secretary of war. In very good condition, with intersecting folds, and scattered moderate creasing, soiling, and foxing, with some foxing over signature. The white paper seal is crisp and intact, as is the affixed revenue stamp. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
