Greek actress (1900–1973) who won the 1943 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in For Whom the Bell Tolls. Pretty vintage matte-finish 3.25 x 6 head-and-shoulders photo of the actress in pearls, signed in fountain pen, “Katina Paxinou,” and inscribed in a another hand and pen, “To Tom, with my best wishes.” In fine condition, with light silvering to some of the darker areas of the image.
