Boerhaave,” one page, 4 x 5.75, no date. In full (translated): “To the illustrious gentleman Chevalier Franz Cornelius from H. Boerhaave. On the first day of this month have I received fifteen rare and excellent medicinal plants brought to me from Venice by Mr. La Court, and thought you might appreciate some and these would bring you on your trip a small sign of my respectful appreciation.” In fine condition, with a horizontal fold and some scattered light toning.
