Louis himself claimed that his reign dated from the death of his nephew, the Dauphin Louis XVII, in 1795. Manuscript DS, in French, signed “Louis,” one page, 7.75 x 7.25, no date. Untranslated four-point document, neatly signed at the conclusion by Louis.
