Exceptionally rare manuscript DS, one lightly-lined page, 8 x 12.75, October 27, 1841. Slave bill of sale reads, in part: “I Isham Hatcher and Nancy Hatcher…for and in consideration of the sum of Two thousand dollars to them in hand…delivered to Thomas Cox the following named Negroes to wit, Phillis a woman black and aged twenty eight and Henry her child, and also George and Bill to have and to hold the above named Negroes to his own procure.” Signed at the conclusion by Isham and Nancy Hatcher, and also signed by two witnesses.
