TLS, one page, 5.25 x 7, United States Senate letterhead, December 17, 1920. Harding writes Richard Emonds, editor of the Manufacturers Record in Florida. In full: “I am in receipt of your letter of the 14th instant, urging me to accept the invitation to address the proposed Educational Conference to be held at Daytona Beach. I am not sure that I will have an opportunity to do this, but I may say that the great demands upon my time are such that I have been compelled to decline all invitations up to this time. I trust, therefore, you will appreciate my position in the matter and understand that my declination is not from want of desire but lack of time.” Central horizontal fold, creasing, light toning, and a couple of pencil notations at the corners, otherwise fine condition.
