Two items: a one–page TLS, 8.5 x 11, dated July 22, 1963, on Attorney General letterhead, to William Hammer. In full: “I want to thank you for your generous comments on my recent appearance on Meet the Press. It was kind of you to take time to write. I am sorry I do not have a copy of the hike picture which you requested, but I am pleased to enclose an autographed portrait.” Affixed to the right edge of the letter is a matte-finish 5 x 7 portrait of Kennedy, signed in the lower border in black ink. In fine condition, with toning to left edge of letter, as well as some mild rippling and wrinkling, and reinforcement to reverse of both pieces. RRAuction COA.
