Actor (1900–1998) best known as the hero John Harker opposite Bela Lugosi in the 1931 film Dracula. Fantastic ALS, one page, 8.5 x 11, no date, on the bottom half of a fan letter. Manners recalls working on the horror classic. In part: “At the time the only good about Dracula I thought was the huge & fat German cameraman who was a real artist. He really directed the movie. I don’t remember Tod Browning at all & only a nodding acquaintance with Lugosi who strutted in front of a full lengthy mirror when not actually in a shot murmuring to himself—’I AM Dracula!’ Of course Helen Chandler also was a favorite of mine.” In fine condition with scattered creases and wrinkles.
