Description

Hoover presents Rickenbacker with the Congressional Medal of Honor

Vintage glossy 10 x 7.25 US Army Air Corps photo of Herbert Hoover and Eddie Rickenbacker posing together at Bolling Field on November 6, 1930, signed in fountain pen by both Herbert Hoover and Eddie Rickenbacker. In very good condition, with lightly trimmed horizontal edges, scattered creases and surface marks, small tear to top edge, and a trivial area of ink loss to beginning of Rickenbacker’s signature. Rickenbacker received the Medal of Honor for his actions in World War I for single-handily taking on seven enemy planes at once. A fine memento of arguably one of Rickenbacker’s most important achievements. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA. RRAuction COA.
