American artist (1861–1909) best known for his paintings and sculptures of the American West, and for his depictions of cowboy life in particular. Fountain pen signature, “Frederic Remington,” on an off-white 2.75 x .75 slip. Double-matted with a color print depicting a cowboy in the saddle to an overall size of 19.25 x 21.25. A couple spots of soiling touching the beginning of his name and a few brushes to his last name, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
