ALS signed “Ray Bolger,” one page, 8.5 x 11, personal letterhead, July 21, 1981. An apologetic Bolger contacts a fan. In part: “I don’t know what happened! Why it was not discovered before this late date. Sometimes the mail is more than I can handle because of the time element. In 1980 I was on the road a great deal. What can one say except: Sorry!…Please, let me know if you receive this sorry excuse for an apology!” Central horizontal fold, some wrinkling, and three dings at the left edge, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by an unsigned postcard photo of Bolger as the Scarecrow. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
