A hilarious collection of 13 vintage unsigned photos, all trimmed to an approximate size of 6.75 x 9.25, and all spiral bound together in a collection entitled “Walt Disney demonstrates an appendectomy with drs. bowers, avery, & nelson. Photography by Earl Theisen.” Photos show Disney in a makeshift surgical cap checking his heartbeat, preparing for surgery, and performing an operation on an orange, with Disney menacingly cutting into the fruit with a maniacal look on his face in the last photo. Trimming as noted, one detached page, and small dings and binding holes to edge, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope from Warner Bros. pictures addressed to Disney Studio’s Story Director William Cottrell. Photographer Earl Theisen was a world-famous photojournalist who would later take iconic shots of Marilyn Monroe and Ernest Hemingway. RRAuction COA.
