Aldrin’s first lunar step from Apollo 11 captured along with Kapton foil and other command module material

Color 9.25 x 7.25 photo, affixed to a 13.5 x 10.5 mount, of Aldrin about to set foot on the lunar surface, signed on the mount in black felt tip by Aldrin. Also affixed to the mount is a 1.5 x .5 portion of Kapton foil, as well as two slightly smaller pieces of other material from the returning command module of an unidentified lunar mission, as well as a 10-cent First Man on the Moon commemorative stamp, a September 9, 1969, Washington, D.C. postal cancellation, a July 20, 1969, Moon Landing cancellation, and a First Day of issue stamp. Notation on reverse reads, “Buzz Aldrin autographed this panel in my presence on July 4, 1981 at my home. Anthony Cipriano.” Framed to an overall size of 14.25 x 11.25. In fine condition. This photograph is identified by NASA as Photo ID: AS11-40-5868, taken on July 20, 1969, captioned : “Astronaut Edwin E. Aldrin Jr., lunar module pilot, descends the steps of the Lunar Module (LM) ladder as he prepares to walk on the Moon. He had just egressed the LM. This picture was taken by Astronaut Neil A. Armstrong, commander, with a 70mm lunar surface camera.” Pre-certified Scott Cornish and RRAuction COA.
