" I got the poem – good – a little bit free, but sincere"

ALS in Italian, signed “Giacomo,” on a 9.5 x 7 self-contained mailing sheet, no date, but postmarked March 6, 1923. Letter to his friend, Angelo Magrini. In full (translated): “Ok for Gigi [Magrini’s son] to stay when he comes to Milano on the 26th. I leave for Torre (del Lago) after tomorrow or at the latest Thursday. I got the poem – good – a little bit free, but sincere. Greetings to the ladies and Nello.” In very good condition, with intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, scattered toning and soiling to both sides, small brush to a single stroke of signature, and some light creasing and wrinkling.
