Vibrant color 7.5 x 10 print of Mickey Mouse standing in either an office or a library, with the shelves covered in books and awards, in honor of his twenty-fifth anniversary, done by Disney artist John Hench in 1953, signed and inscribed in brown artist’s pencil by Disney on the cream colored 13.25 x 17 mat, “To Hank Jo Newmark, With best wishes, Walt Disney.” Light pencil notation on mat under print reads, “Mickey Mouse 25th Anniversary.” Framed to an overall size of 14.5 x 18. Back of the item has the original backing which bears the original Disney label stating “This is a reproduction of an original celluloid drawing, actually used in the Walt Disney production of Mickey’s 25th Anniversary. It is one of a select few that have been released.” Print slightly shifted inside mat, a bit of light toning to mat, and some mild toning and damp staining along bottom edge, barely affecting a small portion of Disney’s signature, otherwise fine condition. The print’s recipient was a commercial artist in the Philadelphia area, who received the print from a friend who was a Disney studio artist. A nicely signed item, uncommon to be found with the original print and frame backing still intact. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
