Description

Grant appoints a Master in the Navy

Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 16 x 19.5, December 19, 1873. Grant appoints George Dyer to the rank of Master in the Navy. Signed at the conclusion by Grant, and countersigned by Secretary of the Navy George Robeson. In good condition, with moderate toning and soiling to top and bottom portions, several small holes and light paper loss to right edge, mild rippling, and previous storage folds. The blue seal is worn and mostly intact. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
