Description

Congressman Kennedy disappoints a constituent, “Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures at the present time”

Very early TLS, one page, 8 x 10.25, Congress of the United States letterhead, October 29, 1947. Letter to Kenneth Browne in Brewer, Maine. In full: “Thank you for your letter of October twenty-fifth and your good wishes. Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures at the present time; but, if I do have any taken in the next few months, I will be glad to send you one.” Small tape repairs to bottom corners, as well as a bit of light edge loss, a uniform shade of toning, carbon fingerprint to greeting, and a few light creases and wrinkles, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope bearing a stamped franking signature. An exceptionally legible and early example. RRAuction COA.
