The Les Misérables author asks for a "complete set of my books"

ALS in French, one page, 7 x 9, July 20, 1846. Letter to an unidentified recipient. In part (translated): “I pray M. Duriez…to send me, from my quota of volumes: 1. One complete set of my books, Charpentier Edition. 2. My complete Theatre including Cromwell (same format). 3. Les Feuilles d’automne (same format) I’ll be much thankful. This document can be used as receipt.” In very good condition, with intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, scattered toning, creasing and soiling, and scattered small edge tears and separations. Hugo’s writing is clear and quite dark. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
